South Kalimantan To Develop Three Airports

Banjarmasin – The provincial government of South Kalimantan plans to develop three airports in order to anticipate the rapid growing of society’s need upon the air transportation. They are Syamsudin Noor airport in Banjarbaru, Gusti Syamsir Alam in Kotabaru, and Warukin in Tabalong. 
To the member of commission 5 House of Representative in Banjarmasin yesterday, The deputy governor of South Kalimantan Mr. Rudy Resnawan explained that the economy of South Kalimantan society keeps growing which affects to evenly high needs of its society to the air transportation. “Thus, we will keep developing those three airports.” He added. 
In one of the biggest airports in South Kalimantan, Syamsudin Noor airport development has been done to transform into international airport, whereas the other two airports are pioneer airport that are strategic to imcrease society’s economic. “Syamsudin Noor airport urge to be developed because of its high traffic. Nowadays, the number of passanger has reached 3,9 million every year, whereas the capacity is only 1 million people.” Explained General Manager of Angkasa Pura airport, Syamsudin Noor airport branch office, Mr. Akhmad Munir.
